It was the season for Hilsa-fish. Everyone in the town and even in the court was talking only about Hilsa-fish. The king got irritated. He did not want more talk about the Hilsa-fish.

Gopal was in a ridiculous manner. He was half-shaven and rubbed ash on his face wearing rags. People saw him and began to talk about him. They forgot to talk about Hilsa-fish. Children started to laugh at him.

After buying the fish, Gopal went to king's palace. When the soldiers stopped him he started dancing and singing loudly. The king heard the noise and ordered to bring him in. 

All the courtiers started to talk about Gopal that he had lost his mind.

Gopal told the king that he had proved the challenge. No one was talking about Hilsa-fish. Everyone was interested in Gopal.

गोपाल एक हास्यास्पद तरीके से था। वह आधा मुंडा था और फटे कपड़े पहने हुए उसके चेहरे पर राख लगी थी। लोगों ने उसे देखा और उसके बारे में बातें करना शुरू किया। वे हिलसा-मछली के बारे में बात करना भूल गए। बच्चे उस पर हंसने लगे।

मछली खरीदने के बाद, गोपाल राजा के महल में गया। जब सैनिकों ने उसे रोका तो वह जोर-जोर से नाचने और गाने लगा। राजा ने शोर सुना और उसे अंदर लाने का आदेश दिया।

सभी दरबारियों ने गोपाल के बारे में बात करना शुरू कर दिया कि वह अपना दिमाग खो चुका है।

गोपाल ने राजा से कहा कि उसने चुनौती को साबित कर दिया है। कोई हिलसा-मछली की बात नहीं कर रहा था। सभी को गोपाल में रुचि थी।
