Sub : Breakdown of water supply.

Sir

Through your popular newspaper I would like to put forward the pitiable condition of water supply in the locality of Laxmi Nagar.

The people are in a difficult situation. In the morning we don’t get water for washing and bathing. The school going children suffer most. They fail to attend the school at time. The people are unable to go the office at proper time. Women have to travel a long distance to get drinking water. I think, the main reason of frequent breakdown of water supply is due to the ineffective working of the water supply department.

I, therefore, request you to kindly publish my letter in your paper so that the higher authorities may come to know of it and take necessary steps to solve the problem.

Yours Sincerely

Ankita

We need peace to concentrate our mind on study. The sick and ill people also feel uncomfortable. Public here also feel disturb in doing their normal work But here in our locality of Ganesh Nagar some people do not feel our problem. They play their loud speakers on a very high pitch..

I, therefore request the concern authorities to take a prompt action to solve this problem and it is best to impose a ban on the use of loud speakers.

Sub : pros and cons of travelling.

Sir

I hope that you will give a little place to my letter in your popular paper regarding pros and cons of travelling to far-off lands.

Travelling expands our knowledge. We get to know about new culture and traditions of far-off lands. We can make new friends and relations. It helps to boost up our confidence and make us more independent. Travelling helps to gather memories for a life time.

On the other hand, we might get into trouble. We may feel lonely in a strange place. We might get lost while travelling. Travelling can be costly and exhausting too. Sleeping in many different beds may feel strange and uneasy. The country we visit, if we don’t know its custom and violet the rules, we might suffer and even end up in jail.

Yours Sincerely

Sub : reasons for unfair means in exams and measures to combat this

Sir

Through the columns of your popular newspaper I would like to highlight the problem of using unfair means in exams and measures to combat this.

It is a big problem in our country. The real education is not possible by adopting unfair means in the exams. This is an evil practice and degrades the moral values of students. Some students waste time and during examination use to chit and copy others. Some others use electronic gadgets to find answers.

The main reason, I think, is high expectations of parents and teachers and throat cut competition for getting higher percentage in order to get admission in Medical and Engineering colleges.

Recently the authorities have taken some effective measures to prevent unfair means. Students go to other institutions for their centers. The seal of question sheet is opened in the examination hall.

I think, Question pattern should also be changed and based on mental ability test. The moral value and life skill values should be developed. Students will then study honestly and dedicate to their duty.

Yours Sincerely

Aruna
